Diagnostic Instuments SMS15A Boom Table Clamp Microscope Stand

The SMS15A is an SMS16A boom stand with an exceptionally sturdy table clamp replacing the weighted base. The clamp is solid aluminum and tightens onto the table with a 3/4" diameter solid stainless steel screw. This stand clamps to table tops up to 2.7" thick.

The "Bonder mount Socket" at the end of the horizontal arm accepts the industry standard 5/8" diameter microscope mounting dowel. A friction collar traps the dowel and allows the microscope to rotate around a vertical axis. This allows the microscope to be aligned with the users eyes each time the horizontal arm is swung to a new position.

SMS15B Boom Stand

As with the SMS16B boom stand, the SMS15A is also available in a "B" version with a 24" rather than a 15.75" vertical pole. When a tilting or non-tilting adapter is needed, we recommend that the customer purchase the "B" version of the boom stand. The extra pole height compensates for the work space that is lost under the microscope when an adapter is added.
