The EMZ-13VX with coaxial vertical fiber optic illuminator is excellent for observing flat, highly reflective specimens such as integrated circuits, semiconductors, wafers, polished metal specimens, solder balls, or magnetic recording heads. The integrated fiber optic bundle mounts in the back of the EMZ-13VX through a specially designed dual port that directs light from a 150W halogen light source. Total magnification is 10X-70X with 10X Eyepieces. A ¼ wave plate is required when using the coaxial vertical illuminator to view reflective specimens. It is attached to the bottom of the objective and is rotated to achieve the desired effect. This Specialty Optical Meiji system offers a 7:1 zoom ratio providing an excellent erect, high resolution unreversed stereoscopic image and superb depth of field.
