The DK-X2100 digital camera is designed to be a flexible microscopy tool for clinical, life sciences, materials sciences, and educational professionals where high-resolution images are essential. Variable resolutions up to 21 megapixels allow the user to take full advantage of their microscope optics in capturing the sharpest image conceivable.
Patented DeltaVU technology represents a breakthrough in sub pixel shifting imaging. The technology ensures more accurate color for detailed image documentation. The result is an increase in image resolution and precise color accuracy. The live video preview provides for real-time focus and auto exposure and auto white balance efficiently captures your optimal image. Software control provides exposures from 64us through 2 seconds. An intuitive user application provides camera control, while full integration to popular third-party imaging applications is available through the TWAIN drivers. The USB digital interface ensures a simple plug and play installation and one standard cable minimizes camera clutter. No framegrabber is required. Camera mounts to a C-Mount on your upright, inverted, biological or stereo microscope triniocular port.
The DK Series cameras have great sensitivity and very low noise figures. The included software features include auto and manual white balance, full exposure control and ROI (region-of-interest). The DK Series delivers outstanding image quality for a wide variety of production or scientific applications.

This means with a laptop, images can be generated in the field. If your bus power is tapped out, the camera can run with a separate power supply available as an option or use your own 12VDC@900ma power supply.
